Frequently Asked Questions
What are Excess Funds?
Excess Funds are funds left over when a property is sold by the county, local government, or a foreclosing attorney for more than what was owed on the property. These funds cannot be retained by the foreclosing entity and are only available to be paid out to the owner, or their heirs.
